It's one thing to win; it's another to completely dominate. Looking over the Monster's slate from the past weekend, it is without question that they demoralized the Flyers.

The Fresno Monsters took victory over division rival Valencia Flyers twice in dominating fashion. Fresno is looking to take sole possession of the Western Division lead on the back of their current seven game winning streak.

Fresno kicked off their work week Thursday night at the Gateway Ice Center. Three Monsters earned themselves hat tricks and 12 players found points as the Monsters left home ice with a 12-5 victory. Bjorn Gabrielsson led the team with 5 points and the Monster's defense did their part by limiting the Flyers to only 16 shots on goal. Narek Aleksanyan found the back of the net twice to go along with his two apples to bring him to a team high 81 points.

Game two took place at the Ice Station in Valencia as the Monsters would once again give scorekeepers' nightmares by posting another 12 on the Flyers; the final score being 12-4. Zack Turpin and Narek Aleksanyan led the charge for the Monsters scoring eight and seven points respectively.

after looking over the score sheets for these games, one curious thought pops into my mind: I wonder how bored Monster's goalies got in these two games? I may never find out. But I'm sure they had plenty of time for reflection facing only 16 and 15 shots on back to back nights.
