The Gateway Ice Center was packed with hockey fans Saturday night as the Fresno Ice Dogs looked to close out their season with a win over Cal Lutheran.

After a slow start to the first period, the Dogs captain Logan Millican took advantage of a 4v4 situation and scored a beautiful goal on the backhand. The Dogs would head to the room after one up one.

The second period was a penalty-ridden affair as both teams set up shop inside their respective boxes. The fast pace was slowed down significantly as the refs continued to blow to play dead and send young men to exile in the penalty box. Finally, the final two minutes opened play up and the Dogs scored back to back goals including a beautiful coast to coast goal by Brooks Hatfield.

The 3rd period went by fast as the game had gotten out of hand quickly. The Dogs would tack on one more goal from Jonathan Holguin and march into the off-season victorious over the Cal Lutheran Kingsman.

The Ice Dogs close out their season on a 4 game win streak and end with a record of 11-5.
